The process of increasing average temperature of the earth atmosphere due to different causes is called global warming. According to the scientist the temperature of is gradually increasing mainly due to human activities.

Some of the major causes of global warming include emission of unwanted gases or greenhouses gases due to human activities and volcanic eruptions. Other causes are excessive use of petroleum products, burning of firewood, modern farming, smoke of different factories, vehicles, over population, unplanned urbanization and industrialization, deforestation etc. Simply we can say that these are the manmade causes of the global warming. Similarly volcanic eruption also contribute in the rising average temperature of the atmosphere.

There are the many negative effects of the global warming. Some of them are melting of glacier, rising sea level, weather extremes, such as heavy rain and no rain and so on. Some of the other effect of global warming are climate change, desertification agriculture yields, trade routes, glacier retreat, extinctions of animal and plants species. Global warming also causes many natural disaster such as flood. Because of the natural disaster, there is huge loss of life and property. Due to these disaster, economic losses, landslides, over-flood, etc are directly attributed. For example people cannot survive in extreme hot regions due to hot region they migrate to colder areas, which leads to over population problems in certain colder lands.

In order to alleviate the catastrophic effects of global warming , some of the preventive measures and solutions are implemented. For example, the gases produced from factories should be managed properly by developing modern technologies. Similarly instead of using petroleum products, electricity or solar power is to be used. Likewise preserve forest by preventing deforestation and doing afforestation programmes. By controlling over population growth and public awareness global warming can be controlled. We should make proper plan before urbanization and industrialization to control global warming.

Simply we can say that human beings are the prime causes of global warming. Their irrational activities have made the earth hotter and hotter. Therefore, each nation and person must promise not to pollute the nature.
