The resources which we found in nature is called natural resources. The development of the countries depend on its natural resources. Natural resources provides many things such as food, water, raw materials for industries and so on. The major natural resources found in Nepal are water, forest and minerals. Among them minerals are not properly utilized in Nepal.

Nepal is rich in natural resources such as water, forests etc. If these resources are properly utilized, the development of country moves ahead. Natural resources can be utilized for various purposes. For example, water resources can be used for agricultural development, for industrial development, for the development of the tourism factory, to generate hydro electricity, for the development of alternative transport and so on. It means we can utilize water for the irrigation, rafting, boating, etc. In addition to it, water resources provides employment opportunities. 

Similarly forest and minerals helps us to develop same sector in different ways. For example, we can get different medicinal herbs, timber, firewood, fruits, raw materials for industry from the forests. Likewise, minerals provides raw materials for the factory and provide employment to peoples. It is 100 percent true that natural resources help to develop nation.

But in Nepal natural resources are utilizing properly because of the many causes. Among them some of the causes are lack of skilled man powers, lack of modern technologies, lack of capital, lack of proper plan, lack of stable rules and regulation on the industries etc.

To utilize the natural resources properly government should make stable rules and regulation, government should manage skilled man powers and modern technologies, people should invest more to utilize natural resources etc.

We should not use natural resources more than required. We should preserve it for future generation also. We should stop destroying forests and polluting water resources. The government should implement strict rules to preserve natural resources. If we cannot able to preserve natural resources then the our future will be darkened.

To preserve nature natural resources should be preserved. If the one elements of the nature affected badly, all the others elements will influenced accordingly. Therefore, we should preserve and utilize natural resources properly.
