The rivers in Nepal

       A small mountainous country Nepal is rich in water and water resources. Some of them are river, pond, lake, underground water, etc. Among them the river play the most important role in Nepal. Most of them are rise from big lake and mountains.
      The major river of Nepal are Koshi, Narayani, Gandaki, Karnali, Bagmati, etc. The longest river of Nepal is karnali river, Narayani river is the deepest river and Koshi is the biggest river of Nepal. All these rivers rise from mountains. These rivers are very fresh and clean but Bagmati and Bishnumati river of Kathmandu being polluted. The amount of water in all rivers during dry seasons slightly decreases but in rainy seasons , it gets increased.
        Some of the people say that the rivers during rainy seasons being destructive. They are often over flooded and destroy the fields and houses of their bank. Many people killed in the flood. Many fertile fields are swept away. They can also cause landslide.
         Each river play very important role in the development of the country. In my views there are more advantages of river than its disadvantages. We can produce hydro-electricity by using the waters of the rivers. Similarly, It helps to do irrigation. It is also the habitat of aquatic animals. The water of the rivers are used for washing, bathing, cooking and many other purposes. It is also useful for the transportation and entertainment. Nowadays, people enjoy rafting in water of the rivers. They are also regional boundaries for political and administrative. Thus, the rivers have many advantages and uses for us. 
         But the rivers are being polluted . Specially the rivers which flow near cities or town getting highly polluted. Example Bagmati river. Most of the rivers looked like drainages because of the pollution. To utilize the water of the rivers properly we have to preserve and protect them. For that we should not throw waste materials in the river, we should not do toilet near river, we should plant trees near the bank of rivers. We should make drains along the bank of the rivers.
          We can be the richest people in the world if we can able to utilize the water of the rivers. So we have to preserve and protect the rivers in any cost.
