What is Science ?

1. A systematically organized body of knowledge on a particular  subject is called science.
2. A branch of knowledge or study which deals with a body of facts or truth  systematically arranged and showing the operation of general laws is called science.
3. In simple words, Science is the study of nature and behavior of natural things and the knowledge which we obtain about them.

 Why we should study science?

• Science is one of the oldest and most important academic disciplines, and covers a wide variety of subjects.
• Science helps our understanding of the world around us. Every things which we know about the universe, from how trees reproduce to what an atom is made up of is the result of scientific research and experiments.
• Human progress though out history largely rested on advance in science. From our knowledge of gravity to cutting edge medicines, students of science have shaped our modern world.
• All of these advances can trace their origin back to individuals learning about science as student. That's why it is in the interest of government, companies and wider society to promote science as a subject at schools. It ensures the next wave of progress in all of the fields that affects our daily lives.

In schools across the world, science is typically initially broken down into three classical fields. They are:

Physics

The branch of science concerned with the nature and properties of matter and energy is called physics. The subjects matter of physics includes mechanics, heat, light, sound, electricity, magnetism, other radiation and the structure of the atoms.

Chemistry

The branch of science which deals with the study of different matter composition, structure and properties of chemicals and chemical reactions is called chemistry. The subject matter of chemistry includes chemical and chemical reactions.

Biology

The branch of science which deals with the study of living beings and the nature of living beings is called biology. The subjects matter of biology includes nature, features, characters of living beings such as animals and plants.
